Choose Application is a Command in the User Interaction Suite of the Standard Additions dictionary.

Parameters

choose application v : Choose an application on this machine or the network

• [with title text] : the dialog window title
• [with prompt text] : the prompt to be displayed in the dialog box
• [multiple selections allowed boolean] : Allow multiple items to be selected? (default is false)
• [as type class] : the desired type of result. May be application (the default) or alias.
